Mineral Intelligence was founded by Mrs. Patel and Mr. Kostenuk, accomplished petroleum engineers with close to 40 years of combined experience in the energy sector.
Co-Founder
Mrs. Patel brings over 23 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having held various roles in both public and private companies. Most recently, she is serving as Director of Planning and Corporate Reserves for Texas Petroleum Investment Company, where her responsibilities include managing all reserve bookings, securing borrowing base redeterminations, and providing financial forecasting to ensure the company’s success. Prior to joining Texas Petroleum Investment Company, Mrs. Patel held various roles as a production and reservoir engineer, as well as working in acquisitions and divestitures across multiple fields in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Mrs. Patel holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University at College Station and an MBA from Rice University.
Co-Founder
Mr. Kostenuk brings over 13 years of diverse experience in operations, engineering, and finance within the oil and gas industry. Currently, he serves as a Senior Finance Associate and leads the Latin America and West Africa M&A team at Amos Global Energy (AGE). Prior to his role at AGE, Mr. Kostenuk held significant positions at Hess Corporation, where he oversaw drilling and completion operations for critical exploration and development projects offshore Guyana, the Gulf of Mexico, and in North Dakota’s Bakken shale play. Before joining Hess, he held various operations and engineering roles with mid-sized operators in Canada.
Mr. Kostenuk holds an Associate’s degree in Petroleum Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming, and an MBA from Rice University.
